This year’s Young First Aider of the year nominations have been announced, with CVQO students leading the way. Cadet Corporal Andrew Laider and Cadet James Grant of Durham ACF, and Cadet Colour Sergeant Rachel Tresman of Surrey ACF were awarded the Young First Aider of the Year Certificate at an awards ceremony held at the Headquarters of the Order of St John in Clarkenwell, London.

The cadets were invited to take part in the event to help raise funds for the veterans at Rothbury House. The Royal Air Force Association manages and funds Rothbury House, a retirement facility for airman and airwoman. The house, situated in the picturesque village of Rothbury in Northumberland offers full time residential care as well as respite care for men and woman across the UK. 

Regimental Sergeant Major Mark Walsh, of 33 Cadet Company Royal Anglian Regiment in Woodford Green, City of London & North East Sector ACF, has been awarded with his BTEC First Diploma in Public Services.

2381 Sqn, HQ Devon and Somerset Wing Air Training Corps, recently held their annual dinner and awards evening. The event was held at the Lordleaze Hotel in Chard on the 21st March 2009.
