There are three components to the award which all need to be completed:
• Pass the relevant cadet course.
• Complete a 750 - 1000 word mini project based around planning a local community event which demonstrates team leading skills learned on the course.
• Pass a series of short answer questions.
A real benefit of this award is that enrolled cadets gain free studying membership of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
